4th Battalion - The Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment - Light Role Reserve Battalion

4th Battalion The Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment is a Light Role Reserve Battalion based throughout the North West of England.  It has a dismounted close combat role and provides trained manpower to the Regular battalions. It undertakes frequent training with our Regular battalions.

In addition to training, the battalion can be involved in everything from helping the local community to peacekeeping missions overseas.

4th Battalion The Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment recently deployed to Kenya assisting the Kenya Defence Force by delivering teaching focused on areas such as captured persons, urban warfare, and battle casualty drills.
